The Golden Keys Homeownership Cohort is an exclusive 9-month homeownership readiness program offered by the Good as Gold Foundation in partnership with the School District of Philadelphia. Designed for individuals and families who are serious about preparing for homeownership, Golden Keys provides a structured, high-touch experience that helps participants move from mindset to mortgage. More Than a Workshop — A 9-Month Journey
Golden Keys isn’t a one-day workshop where you’re given information and left to figure out the rest on your own. Throughout the nine months, our team works alongside participants as they strengthen their financial foundation, understand the homebuying process, identify areas they need to work on, and take actionable steps toward becoming mortgage-ready.
Participants gain access to trusted industry professionals, sponsored resources, individualized guidance, hands-on learning, and real-world homebuying experiences designed to prepare them for what it actually takes to purchase a home. Our goal is for every participant to be pre-approval ready by the end of the program.

A Proven Program
Our inaugural 2025–2026 Golden Keys Cohort successfully completed the full nine-month experience, with participants strengthening their credit, increasing their homeownership knowledge, accessing valuable resources, and making measurable progress toward purchasing a home. Now, we’re preparing to welcome our 2026–2027 cohort.

The official application opens September 26, 2026, but your first step is to complete the Interest Form and join us for our Virtual Interest Meeting on October 6 from 6:30–7:30 PM EST. REGISTER HERE!
During the Interest Meeting, you’ll learn more about how Golden Keys works, the workshops and real-world experiences included, program requirements and expectations, and what it takes to successfully complete the nine-month cohort. You’ll also have an opportunity to ask questions and determine whether Golden Keys is the right fit for you.
