Janée Sanders
Co Founder
Janée Sanders was born on September 28, 1990, in Abington, Pennsylvania, and raised just outside of Philadelphia in Montgomery County. As the middle child of three, Janée was brought up by her resilient single mother, who worked multiple jobs to provide for her and her two brothers. Her mother showed remarkable strength and a deep love for God, something Janée noticed and admired from a young age. Despite significant challenges her family faced, relying on government assistance, living in subsidized housing, and even spending time in shelters, her mother remained a steady source of love and faith.
From a young age, Janée was known for her vivacious personality and creative spark. She gravitated toward the arts like dancing, singing, acting, and styling hair and was always performing in school talent shows. Her natural confidence and stage presence shone early, and she embraced every opportunity to express herself through creativity. She began doing hair at a young age and pursued cosmetology through a tech program during high school. She was also active on both the step team and dance team at Abington High School.
Before moving back to the Abington area, Janée attended schools in the North Penn School District, where she often found herself one of the only Black students in the classroom. It was there that she first experienced racism, formative moments that shaped her self-awareness, resilience , and drive.
Later, her family moved into her grandfather’s home in the North Hills/Glenside area, where Janée graduated from Abington High School. She went on to study Health Science at Lincoln University, a historically Black college and university (HBCU), where she continued to express her creativity and leadership, performing on the dance team and directing the university’s largest community service and modeling organization. During her time there, she built lifelong friendships and bonds that have deeply influenced her personal and professional journey.
After college, Janée began building her professional career in corporate sales, holding roles at several companies, including one of the largest third-party logistics firms in the country. During this time, she lived in various neighborhoods throughout Philadelphia and its surrounding areas, gaining a broad perspective on the city’s diverse communities. Alongside her career, she pursued singing and modeling, always balancing her creative passions with her professional ambitions.
In 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Janée experienced a major personal transformation. She deepened her walk with Christ, got baptized, and began singing in her church choir. She also reignited her passion for acting and began pursuing it again with renewed purpose.
Throughout the pandemic, Janée expanded both her spiritual and professional journey. She earned her insurance license, launched her real estate company, Golden Profit LLC, and opened her first Airbnb property in Philadelphia. In additionimage1.jpeg, she co-founded the Good As Gold Foundation, a nonprofit created to promote financial literacy, life insurance education, and generational wealth-building in underserved communities of Philadelphia and surrounding areas.
Janée’s journey from adversity to alignment with her purpose, fuels her passion to uplift and empower others. Through her work in business, ministry, and service, she continues to create impact and prove that with faith, vision, and resilience, transformation is always within reach.
